It will be a shame to go back to my slower machine just to get work done faster and then change to the new machine to do my 3D Rhino renderings with the high resolution screen that is standard on most all laptops today. The menu options are not selected in the Customize User Interface (CUI). Causes: The CUI/CUIx file containing the menu items is not loaded. This must be an industry wide issue and is probably costing the community millions of dollars of lost man hours. Missing menus in AutoCAD Autodesk Support Products and versions covered Issue: One or more menus are missing from the AutoCAD menu bar. Changing settings in windows does nothing but make all my other engineering programs look and run different.
All toolbars on top are OK but these toolbars that "Float" are so small they are hardly usable. These toolbars speed up my work greatly and I feel frustrated learning to use another method of accomplishing my tasks. At times, there may be a symbol similar to a 'No Entry' sign appearing when trying to drag UI items. Now my screen looks normal and all up to speed except the toolbars that I open, such as OBJECT_SNAP, and dock on the side of my screen. When trying to move the command-line window, ribbon panels, palettes, toolbars, or other user interface (UI) items in AutoCAD, they cannot be repositioned, resized, or docked.
I solved one problem of 1/3 my screen not showing the drawing by turning off graphics acceleration by using GRAPHICSCONFIG. Your not alone and I have the same problem.
